Hi Sagers! Thank you for visiting my site and starting your journey to Embody Sage! Today I would like to share some nutrition and exercise tips with you. I will do a SAGE Tip series based on my previous webinars. I hope that these tips will be beneficial for those who do not have extensive nutritional or exercise training. The webinars will provide more detailed information and provide strategies for continued learning and growth.
Okay! Let’s talk about nutrition. There are so many voices and information on this topic. I want to boil it down to a simple goal for all of us to follow. EAT more whole foods! I’m sure you have heard this before, but do you know what a whole food is? Do you know the benefits of a whole food diet? That is what I share in my nutrition webinar. For now, just think about starting to include more fruits and vegetables to your diet everyday. Especially if your diet doesn’t currently include fruits and vegetables.
Exercise tip: Move and drink water!! We are all busy, but exercise is one of the cornerstones of health and wellness. If you have never exercised, have not exercised in a while or have physical limitations that may affect your activity level, talk with your healthcare provider and make sure that it is okay for you to increase your physical activity safely. I would like you to start with a commitment to do at least 5-10 minutes of exercise per day. This activity can be vacuuming, walking around the neighborhood, dancing to music that you love, etc. In my first webinar I give you tips and strategies to get to know yourself better in order to determine what works best for you.
If you are already physically active, you can increase your daily exercise time. More information regarding metabolism and weight loss will be found in the 3rd webinar of my series.
